Tressie and I feel strongly about one thing--our readers
rock.
Without them we wouldn’t be where we are now. Their commitment to our
characters, the way they can relate to our books and quote their favorite part
of any title, we think it's amazing! So when we decided to have a reader
appreciation event, it wasn’t for money or for prestige but to say thanks for
their support and devotion to our books.
Our event was held at Amelie’s French Bakery here in
Charlotte, NC. It's known for delicious French pastries, an eclectic ambiance,
and amazing service. The buffet they created for us was divine, and the desserts
melted in our mouths. More so we were able to talk up and personal to our
readers about everything from the news to social networking. But mostly as all readers
do we talked about books. What our favorite books were, what they liked, and
heck we even traded a few names and got a line on new titles we may want to
try. Families, lives, loves nothing was off limits including boobs and bra
sizes. It was all great fun, and of course we’re already in the planning stages
of a winter event for Christmas. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that we can get
these ladies, gents, and a few more guests into the Christmas spirit.
Amesia, winner of our basket! Congratulations! |
Of course, we haven’t forgotten
you our online readers. We have two of the fabulous goodie bags left, and they
are yours! Comment on this page about the blog or pictures. Sign up to be one
of our mocha swirl regular readers, and you will be entered to win these bag
packed with fun author swag. The drawing
will be on Monday bright and early!! Thank you readers far and wide. We
appreciate you and adore you more than you could ever know. We plan on
getting a T-shirt that says Kiss A Reader!! That's how committed we are to bringing
you good stories that make your heart beat faster and stirs romance into your
blood. Even if it’s only in a book, we want each happily ever after to be
memorable time and time again.
The sisters discuss who's read what, and what's coming out next. |
Goodies!!! |

I absolutely LOVE to decor of the bakery. The blue was cool and seems like it would have lent itself well to the event. I hope you ladies had a Great time!

Thank you so much for answering my question about what signing up to be one mocha swirl regular readers. From the pictures it looks like everyone had fun. Those pastries look amazing, and I just love the walls. The bakery you had this at is unlike any other bakery I've seen. Thank you for sharing these pictures, and for the opportunity.
